Aloha Performing Arts Company announces open auditions for volunteer teen and adult actors for its October season opener, “Plan 9 from Outer Space” by Mark Landon Smith.

The play features silly, not-so-special effects, aliens in skating skirts, angry military officers, and a small squadron of grave-robbing zombies.

Auditions will be held at the Aloha Theatre in Kainaliu at 6 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, with a possible invitational callback audition at 6 p.m. on Thursday, if necessary. Rehearsals will begin Sept. 11, and performance dates are Oct. 14-30.
